Hi all. Is there anyone here from Burnley area who ownes Discovery 2 post lift model with manual and td5 engine? Just wanted to compare the acceleration cause mine goes like turtle from start...don't know if it's just them or there is something wrong. Cheers

I don't own one, but it shouldn't be 'turtle like'. Might be worth posting a question on the Disco forum.

See if you can find someone who has diagnostics and get live reading then post them up.

May also be worth while disconnectign the MAF and seeing how it accelerates then.

Cheers

I've got Nanocom, so if you would like to help I would make live data and post it.

I've disconnected MAF and for me there is no difference. What does it mean? NC shows around 54-57 reading for MAF at cold engine and no idle.

Basically, car pulls like a train from around 1700rpm but till that it's just like a turtle, especially 1st gear from traffic lights.

As well I've cleaned ECU red plug from oil, checked connection from intercooler, pressure hoses to wastegate. All looks fine. New air filter, fuel filter, 2x oil filter and oil. That's my first td5 so I don't know what should I expect to be honest.

TBH, I found the TD5 Disco a bit rubbish from start, caught me out a few times at roundabouts. Then I introduced it to Mike at Dynachip, now it feels like I expected it to.

Post the data anyway in pdf format. fo a run that goves good uphill and acceleration in the gears from start off.

Cheers

Does sound normal to me, I've only driven un tuned TD5s and they do like a few revs

I just gone for a longer drive today and when it was after an hour of driving (so well up to temperature) on motorway the engine started being very noisy when hard accelerating, sounds like it wants to explode and felt like loosing power. It was happening on different gears around 2-3k rpm, never noticed that before. I think it was accelerating slower as well when the engine was hot. I will get those live data reading next week as left NC at home and I'm away now.

Hi guys! Sorry for delay, but was away. I've found out that the throttle is constantly open! Is that a fault from pressure valve or throttle body itself ?

Hi all. Got that live data stored. I've noticed as well that today when trying 0-60 the car at 3rd gear over 3000rpm started "jumping" and the rpms were flowing a lot instead of growing stable, just like the car was getting not enough of air of fuel, getting cut-off, don't know. After checking engine codes I've received (3,7) AIR FLOW CIRCUIT, (LOGGED HIGH).
