As the title, has anyone ever seen a front bumper with a reciever hitch on for winching off or some sort of reciever what bolts on some how to the front??

For some reason I can't get anyone to make me anything also I don't trust my welding lmao, I need to be able to winch off it. I just find it pointless buying a winch bumper as I've got a receiver tow bar so it would be more beneficial to have a winch tray and use it for both sides of the car!

You can also get steering guards with 2" receiver hitch mounting holes.

That's interesting as I'm going to be putting a steering guard on, can you winch of these though ??

I have a Discovery 300tdi REAR 2" receiver hitch that fits between chassis rails .. I imagine it'll fit the front quite easily, but can check tomorrow and put some pics up if you like? All you'd need then is any of the 2" winch mounts ..and a winch!! ;)

It fits .. ;)

OK, you'd need to drill a hole in it to suit the bumper holes maybe, or the chassis, to fit it properly, and mess with the bumper to allow the 2" bit to stick out, but that's no big problem just fabrication and fitting. If you want it then I'll include the mounting pin, looking at £75 ONO collected from Doncaster. When I had it on the Disco it towed fully laden caravans, using another receiver hitch it recovered many a stuck vehicle, both steady pull rope and snatched recoveries, it never moved so yes, I'd say it'd definitely stand a winch of whatever strength you like so long as you fit it properly using reasonable quality bolts etc.

To be honest, now I fitted it to the front chassis rails and seen how it looks, I have a few ideas about it so if you want it, or anyone else wants it if you don't, you have maybe a week or so before I change my mind about selling it!! It's had the rear mounting plate ground off and blown over with paint ready to make a new one to fit a Defender, but we went another route with that ... https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/my-new-old-defender.248534/page-13#post-3199363 ... which is why this is for sale, for now .. ;)

At a cursory glance they do indeed .. at between £120 and £250 for Landrover mounts. Then, as with mine you have to add on, or make, the extras .. ;)
