Disco TD5. Auto or Manual

hello guys. Since I sold my ex military Landrover 90 due to house move and missed the 4x4 and I have Ford Focus. And now my Missus has given permission to buy another Landrover -).

But this time I want disco as I has one before. Disco 1 200tdi. That was a great one

I see a disco 2 53 plate TD5 automatic. Would you buy automatic or manual ?

I have no experience with automatic drive.

Depends where I am going to drive it.

In towns and cities during rush hour, then an Auto, in the country a Manual.

Just what @biketeacherdave said.

Auto every time, even 30 years ago when I got mine. an auto gearbox was a pleasure to use when queuing in traffic. Now in to days traffic I'm even queuing on a motorway, my normal car is an auto but it's has a manual override for fun.
