disco rear axle

hi there
new to the site. own a 200 tdi discovery with a shock absorber that has sheered away from its bracket on the rear axle n/s
can anyone tell me if there is a bracket available to replace it or will i have to replace the axle
also does the same rear axle of a J reg disco fit a Lreg as a breakers near me has 1 in his yard
any help greatfully appreciated

If you are a good welder or can get a competant welder to fix the new one on you can buy the bracket for about 15 quid. Baring in mind its let go there is an argument to say change the axle because it muct be rusty but it depends on your point of view
