Disco Rear Air Suspension

A friend was looking at a 2000 7 seater Disco with air suspension.

The ride height button on the dash did not seem to have any effect
(engine running, all doors closed, when button was pressed light would
flash continuously but no apparent change in rear ride height) and
when the rear was loaded, no obvious attempts by the car to self
level.

Presumably something in the air system U/S?

Could not hear compressor running at all All fuses OK. Anyone care to
suggest possible causes of failure?

From when I owned a 7 seater TD5 this is not a good sign - flashing means it
is trying to lift the back but it should go solid within about 10 seconds to
say it is at height.

It could be a fuse but worse than that it could be a burnt out compressor
which is fairly common and expensive. Lets hope its the first one.

Rob (bloke who got rid of TD5 Disco because it kept going wrong in small but
expensive ways)
