some **** tried to break in my disco last night but had the good sense to ****off before i could get out the door ,the alarm was a full and constance horn and could only be turned off by taking the earth lead off ,i expected a itermitant sound with flashing lights is this a fault on the alarm ? it seems to have reset its self this morning , thanks.

The 200 and early 300 series disco's use the vehicles horn (single button fob) later 300 have a sounder with a battery backup (two button fob),
You should have been able to silance and reset the alarm with your fob, there's no need to remove wires so you do have a small problem somewhere.
