Remove the seats from the tipping bases and make fit what ever seats you want.

I've seen everything from Recaro buckets to Range Rover L322 chocolate leather seats with heating in them, it's not as simple as any sort of nut and bolt job as you need to make adaptors to make your chosen seats fit.

An alternative option is to get your existing seat sqaubs replaced along with the lumbar supports, it'll make the world of difference, if the fabric upholstery is in bad condition then you could get the whole seat reupholstered, usually not terribly expensive if you deal in cash as it's just labour intensive not materials.

E46 coupe seats are cheap and suit well. As above though, near enough any seats will need brackets/welding to fit.

Yeah you'll get a mint set for fairly cheap mind. The beige is a good match too. I'll be getting them for mine I think. I've driven for hours in those seats with spirited driving mixed in and they were comfy. Those ones above don't look like the ones I had

Well thanks for all your suggestions Re- Discovery seats, I really want heated leather as if I'm going to all the trouble of making them fit I might as well have a bit of luxury. When Iv'e done them I will post some pics

Leather seats do need to be heated, the leather gets quite cold overnight this time of the year no problem with normal material though. Don’t forget the heated leather steering wheel :)

Or there are element kits available for diy installation on eBay as well as D2 leather heated seats.
