Hi guys
Since i completed the S2a rebuild inc a disco 200 tdi my timing case has leaked at the front oil seal ( inside case ) and noticed there is a gouge in the timing case where the seal fits and need another casing if anyone has one please :(

I would have thought that it can be rescued? Smooth it out with wet and dry, fill it with summit (chemical metal?), Smooth it again and then a smear of red hermatite on the outside of a new seal.

Or a more Permanent repair is a bead of aluminium weld followed by having it turned out to the correct diameter,
Still substantially cheaper than a new casing but dearer than a second hand one,

Didn't think of that cause its quite a deep gouge looks like someone has hammered a screw driver between the seal and case :(
