Hi folks
I'm new on this part of LandyZone, I have previously had a P38 2.5DSE auto, I was missing the old girl so I felt the need for another green oval badge on the driveway.
A Freelander 1 TD4 failed to please in quite the same way, so now I have a '51 plate V8 Disco 2 with LPG in Adventure trim.
I have now replaced various brake pipes, bits of missing rear chassis, & got the exhaust to hold the gas in until it gets to the back of the truck.
Having now got an MOT on it, just one more thing to sort, it wanders around at motorway speeds! No obvious wear on track rod ends & drag links etc. So more investigation needed, still that's part of the joys of a green oval badge isn't it?
Regards one & all
Nick

Hello Nfav,

Have you had the alignment checked? Tyre pressures?

Just a case of going thru it piece by piece and checking it at al points.

Also as it is a D2, and I gotta say it, have you got the EKA code?

Cheers

Thanks Neilly
I must admit the front is tracking out slightly, but the tyre place couldn't get it to adjust, I need to heat up and free off the adjusters there, but it only slightly out. Tyre pressures all checked and adjusted.
And yes the EKA code is in the handbook pack - I've already used that when the battery went dead.
And a spare fob (although the blade is missing from it, but that's no real problem)

When I adjusted mine, I ended up removing the track rod , spraying it with penetrating spray , a good wire brushing , a little heat and stuck it in a vice and gave it some abuse , soon came loose.

Then I adjusted them to be right .

iirc, it is 0 to 0.2 degrees toe in , or something similar. But if it is a concern get it all lose , put it back together ( do not forget to tighten it back up ) and get it to your local place to adjust correctly.

Cheers
