disco 2 v8 rebuild power steering

hi guys now ive rebuilt the v8 ,went out this morning for a gentle drive round the block.
my power steering was notchey, do i have to bleed the sytem having had the pums off to pull the engine out , and how do you this.
no signes of fluid loss or leaks can the system have air in it.
or any other idea,s

Jack up the both front wheels off the ground and turn it from lock to lock several times should bleed it good!

yes if you bleed at the box only do with the engine at idle with no load ie not on full lock!
