Has anyone done the task I'm about to take on fitting a set of heated and electric seats instead of Manual cloth ones, and can point me in the direction of what needs wiring where
Thanks
Matt

Hopefully you can buy the underseat looms (including fuse holders & relays) + operating switches, switch panel & centre console from the person selling the seats.
If you're good with a dremel , you could probably cut the holes for the switches in your own console but you'd need to make a template first.
If not, you need to contact someone who breaks D2s who may have the parts.
As Sierrafery says, you'll need someone with a Nanocom, Hawkeye or similar to then enable the electric seats option in the body control unit (bcu).
I was fortunate & the guy I bought the seats off did it all for me (very good guy called Heathy off the D2 Boys club forum)

Got in touch with the guy selling them hopefully getting switches and wiring, is it just the wiring from switches to seat I need, an I right in thinking all the fuses and relays are on the seats themselves?

It's not only the wiring from switches to seats cos you have to connect the circuit to the fascia harness to establish the communication with the BCU and the fusebox, the seats have the relays and fuses on them but those need to be linked to the interior fusebox too

So just the heated seat harness is already in the centre console then, so then would need harness forward from switches to the fuse box in the footwell?

i might see if I can work
It to get power to switches via an ignition live then that way I don't have to mess with nanocom and bcu , as I'll only ever go forwards and back

It's not that simple, if you connect the looms to the original circuit there will be ignition feed at the seats by default, the power relay which provides feed for the circuit is controlled on the earth path by the BCU

That big brown is only for the heating elements... the diagrams and connector views are in RAVE ...that's why i said that it's not easy to DIY if you are not handy with electrics

Cheers got 2 of these coming and some seat switches

Do you see orange/purple wire pin 4 and brown/green pin 5 in the brown plug which is under your manual seats now?(C0255) ....if yes you might be lucky and just connect that to the brown plug which is in the electric seat ... though even then you'll need tester to set the BCU or give direct earth to the relay by connecting the orange/purple to earth

Does the power go from the brown plug into the seat then into the electric grey plug up to the switches? As I've looked at the plugs on the electric seats and only see one plug going between the switches and seats nothing coming into the switches

Yes and you are lucky that the wiring is there so it should be plug and play but to avoid to program the BCU you'll have to cut that orange/purple wire and give earth to it through an ignition switched relay cos the feed is permannent not ignition switched

The OP wire is the switched earth coming from BCU, if you make it permannent the seats will be under power all the time cos the feed is permannent that's what i told you in my last post

Crikey, reading this thread has done a good job of putting me off doing the same. Just purchased a pair of nice electric black leather front seats from a P38. Got a good local garage going to fit and wire them up to my 2003 Disco 2 - hopefully!
