Disco 1995 ES

Can anyone tell me the fuel consumption for a 1995 es disco with approx 140000 on the clock,also, is the ES model a good bet.

I am getting around 23-25mpg around town with my 1996 TDI ES Auto (thanks to the Devon hills. lol)

I have just removed the EGR and de-catted the downpipe, so hope to see an improvement, and i am training myself not to drive with such a heavy right foot!

It really all depends how you drive the car, and the terrain (hilly or flat) you are driving.

Its the 2.5 td lump,only just got it this weekend so new to them.

ive just picked up an ES TDi last week, and i absolutely LOVE it!!

cant work out my fuel consumption properly but i filled the tank when i got it and after 300 miles ive still got over a qtr of a tank left. ive done a mix of motorway/fast A road (200 miles) and the rest is town driving.

if you havent already - get an EGR removal kit and a de-cat pipe, ive noticed a BIG difference, both in driveability (it pulls off quicker) and the fuel guage seems to be dropping slower so for me it was £40+ post well spent.
