I have a discovery 1. It has a shudder. This happend after inchanged the four shocks and front wheel bearings and a few bushes. Drives fine but when i get to 80km and over and drive over a small bump there is a terrible shudder
Any ideas?

Is it a shudder through the front or rear wheels?

If front, I'd check the bushes and track rod ends on all the steering parts ... and that the steering damper and it's bushes work too.

if rear I'd check rear prop donut (if it's a 300), then all prop UJ's, front and rear. I'd also check the A-frame bushes, both at the chassis end and at the axle end, use a long lever and try to force them apart. Also worth checking the trailing arm bushes and tightness of fittings. Almost any free play can cause issues and knocks.

Hello
The shudder is in the front.
I am replacing the cv joints and also the front stabalizer bushes. And the gearbox mounts are being replaced too, back left and right. Ill keep you posted!

Also swivel pre-load, panhard bushes and even wheel bearing and balance, sometimes a lot of little things add up ... mine was pre-load on the swivels ....

It was steering damper when it happened to me, it wasn't til I took it off I realised it only worked in one direction
