Disco 1 owner's manual

Does anyone have a .pdf of the owner's manual/handbook for a 1997 300tdi they'd be willing to share? I've come from a 1983 110 to all these switches and buttons, plus a central locking system which seems to be possessed by the devil, and I don't have a clue what a lot of it does or how to use it.

I tried a couple of the 'Free download' sites but although I can view the manual online (in miniature!), all the download links onscreen try and get money from me or try and get me to download some software. None of them actually download the document. All I want is a nice simple .pdf.

The locking system in particular is scary as it locks itself at odd times, makes all sorts of strange beeps and yelps and occasionally alarms when I'm in the car! I'm sort of managing but yesterday it locked when I was inside and I couldn't get out. Even pulling the button up didn't work because as soon as I tried to open the door it locked again! Good job it wasn't on fire! It's like 'Christine'! I don't know if it's a fault or if I'm just not using it right, because I've never had to deal with modern technology like this. Judging by the amount of silt and water in and under the carpets, the previous owner had been in deep water and flooded it up to the seats, so there may be water in the electrics.

Hi. No, what is that? I saw RAVE mentioned elsewhere but I don't know what it is. Pardon my ignorance, I've only had the Disco a fortnight. Oh I see! It's a workshop manual! Great. I'll download it.

It is a downloadable workshop manual , better than haynes,

I downloaded it to my laptop and use it from there. Print out the pages I need if I weant it with me. BUT it alsohas the owners manual to read.
