hello,my new 16x8 modulars arrived today and i,m a bit confused.to me the wheels don,t seem to mount properly:confused:i,ve got a gap of about 5mm all around the inside of the rim and the bolt holes are large enough to suit a 20mm stud.when the wheel is sitting on the hub loose with no bolts in you can literally lift the wheel 10mm upwards.is there different wheel nuts to be used with these whese?are the centre holes of the wheel where it locates over the halfshaft flange the same for both disco/defender?i,ve taken the car out today and theres vibration.what do you think? its my first set of steelys.thanks

You cannot/should not use the alloy wheel nuts for steel wheels.

The wheel nuts for the alloys have a much bigger body and won't locate correctly in the chamfer of the stud holes.

You need to get a set of wheel nuts specifically for steel wheels.

cheers lads, forgot to mention i,ve got steel nuts but i,ve fitted them with the chamfer pointing away from the wheel and the flat up against the wheel.i,ve dropped a bollock have,nt i:eek:
