Disco 1 fuel drainage

Just a quick Q......

Stripping my 200tdi convertible - still got a quarter tank of fuel, wots the best way if draining it, cos all the pipes and sender is all on the top half?

not a bad idea

if your keeping it for spares then remove the tank and drain it off if you cant syphon it.

if your not keeping it then just drill a hole like JP says

Does the engine run? Run it with the return pipe disconnected and pump it into a jerry can or soemthing - 10 minutes and it will all be out.

Or undo the feed pipe from the sedimenter or even the drain plug and it should syphon itself out, it certainly does when ever I tried to clean my sedimenter.
