Well if your feeling s little daring!

££££!!!! if you have lost your keys on a p38 dse, it makes the car worthless....... instead get the lock decoded and abmw hu92 blade cut to your locks, then remove the 93c46 chips inside the engine ecu and the car will run! you may need to run a wire from igntion to the starter motor via a relay, and sometimes the autos' won't rev over 2500rpm, but if that's the case an immo off file for both eeprom's is very easy to get hold of.............

:whoosh:
I have no idea what you are on about....

I am not sure that will work...in fact I would urge people not to do it!

Better just get it working properly and/or get Syncmate or Nanocom.

The loos of sync on a Diesel is rare - not impossible just not as common as the Petrol models!

Basicly saint someone has lost their key and a fellow member has suggested that !

Whilst it does seem like an interesting prospect, you really need to put your post into context, as there seems to be more to it than just the part you have posted - hence my curiosity to see the full article/post your are quoting from, as with just what you have put on here seems a little disjointed as I am not sure what ECU it refers to, or in what circumstance this will help etc.

Post your linky tomorrow as I am keen to learn!

Now it makes sense now you have put it into context, as a quote alone it was a little lacking what it was all about and what he was trying to achieve....although I would still have reservations - he also states this is for the Manual model....important information that last bit - hate to think what an owner would do if he tried this with his/her Auto model and fecked it!

£15 a year from keycare
Ive checked and they do cover a p38
If I loose my keys they will replace and reprogram the locks/ecu as appropriate and give me 1 new working remote key
Plus same to any house locks that have keys on my car bunch to the value of £1000

A new keys is best even if you did disarm it you still got a keyless ignition barrell , the cost wohld be cheaper than paying someone to disarm the ecu and then have to change / alter the " ignition barrel and door barrel .my insurance do the list key insurance for free
1st central :)
