Dipstick tube

Hi, in process of building a smoke machine. In testing it of would seem my dipstick tube is broken by the top mount. Anyone had this before and is it weldable. Ie is it steel.....

Put a magnet on it, if I snapped mine id weld it.

Yep, couldn't find a magnet at the time. I will find one!....lol

What guns n chainsaws ye got.

New one is on order. A magnet is attracted to the tube but hardly at all. It must be some kind of alloy which probs won't weld
£15 delivered. Not bad. I think it's been spraying oil on the block but that could be a leaky manifold.
Both being done soon.
