hello posted b4 on the diff lock

i have been told that the problem is the wire that goes from the transfer box and it is around 1 meter long, so i have been told ???

they also sed it was the bushes if this make sense is this easy to replace and how much would it cost garage said it would cost me £60 that sound fair.

cheers anthony

If you could type some English it would help.

You had a new clutch fitted, and after the work was done you couldn't engage Diff Lock, although the lever moved, right?

(The original posts are 23rd and 24th November)

Unless the difflock linkage hasn't been fitted correctly, which is the most likely issue, there isn't much else to go wrong as the diff lock is part of the transfer box that comes out with the main gearbox.

Get under the car and watch the linkage while someone moves the lever inside the car. DON'T try this with the engine running, please!

i have a disco 1 200tdi 1993

but yeh the transfer gear stick moves and goes into low box, so i can put it in low box and use it but i cant get it in diff lock.

i took it to my mates garage, not the guys who did my clutch and he said that it was the bushes ??? or something like that ???
