Diff Lock Indication/light

Hi All, Just Got The 90 Out And About Prior To Mot,
The Difflock Seems To Be Engaging Fine But The Diff Lock Light Is Intermittent, It Appears To Me To Just Be A Hit And Miss Sensor Switch? 19j Engine H Plate Truck.

The Light Will Stay On With Very Slight Press On Selector Lever

Any Info Would Be Welcome.

the switch is just like the reverse gear switches and the switch does get worn,find the switch on the transmisson where the high/ low is engaged you will find a switch there take out the switch remove the washer on switch collar and refit switch,thats the cheapest way the just removing the washer so it sticks in more the other is to fit a new switch hope this helps.

Are you sure the diff lock is engaging properly? The light only comes on when the lock is engaged, if the light is intermittent is the diff lock?

I have an 89 RRC which also has an intermittent Diff lock light, I have had the diff check when it's supposed to be in Diff lock mode.

Make sure the switch is covered in gunge (mine was)
