Hi, I am not sure if I am hallucinating or not so am going to throw this out there....I replaced the diff bushes last weekend because the front one had been eaten by the car in its constant battle to keep me busy fixing it. The rear two were pretty bad too. Used poly for replacements. I was really pleased the difference it made on the rear end; no more banging from the diff as it tried to enter the cabin but I am sure that a noise from the front end upon hitting a good bump (which I thought ball joints ; wishbones etc etc )has also gone. I have replaced the anti-roll bar bushes previously because of this front end noise which helped a bit, but I am sure it has stopped banging about considerably and it really seemed front end! Anyone else experience this or should I renew my status to 'optimistic' ? Thanks for reading

If the propshaft is now held nice and firmly it'll make a difference to the whole drive train.
I used poly bushes too and was well pleased with them. ;)

Yes I thought that could well be it and also the only thing for the MOT pass is track rod ends so they will help too I am sure. Surprised me the difference with the diff though. Everything feels really tight, and
I replaced the rear brake shoes as well so brakes good and sharp too.
Also just managed to undo the IRD filler plug using nut extractor socket got a set for £20 I reckon they already paid for themselves there. I saw them recommended somewhere else in a thread. That really is a ridiculous plug bolt thing going on there. Thanks a lot
