Credit where it's due...
I had my injector pump refurbished by Bob, but still had problems when I refitted it. I emailed for advice, and he replied in no time, the result being that my Defender now runs better than ever.
Highly recommended for the refurb job (the pump makes the engine look old & manky now!) and for excellent service. :)

What was the issue you had, was it down to the rebuild or was it a installation/setting up problem?

Ive got 8-off injectors packed up, and reddy to send to him, right next to me.

My IP will be following next week.

I run biofuel. Other diesel places want to sell you new everything, the moment they realise theres bio involved, but diesel bob doesnt seem to care.

(plenty of fuel system faults arise on mineral diesel - bio isnt responsible for them too!)

Setting up, so all my fault!
It was taking a long time to start, and there was a lot of unburnt diesel type smoke. As I didn't have these problems before he agreed an injector fault was unlikely, and that the problem could be timing.. I couldn't get it accurately timed because the bellhousing wading plug is seized in, and it didn't help that a previous owner had attempted to remove it with a chisel. He'd also suggested advancing the pump a few degrees, and that's what did the trick.
As for the rebuild, it looks like a brand new pump, and now runs like one too!
