Hi all,

Wanted to get peoples thoughts. Just bought some black Sawtooth wheels. Do I add spacers or not?!?

Appreciate your input guys.

Cheers mate! Just about working out if I fork out on spacers as they don't seem cheap...

Was good to know if people thought it would look any good... Can imagine it might.

Depends mate you need to get them on first and see, I have 30mm spacers on mine and they stick out slightly beyond the wheel arches with them which may affect MOT and more annoyingly means the sides of the car a permanently filthy! The other thing to consider is that wheel spacers will wear your wheel bearings out quicker, how much quicker I don't know..

It looks like a smashing Landy by the way.

As a matter of interest but is the offset on the new rims the same as the old or is it just the aggressive tire wall that inflates the look.

I think that there is a slight offset which meant spacers weren't needed. Was a straight swap out of boots onto the new rims...

That sounds right, S. If you take a look at the rear of your LR with the new wheels fitted and compare it to the old pic, assuming that I am judging the ingress of the steps correctly, the you're looking at a definite change.

It could be a reduction of 10 to 20 in all honesty. If you ever get the chance to find out the actual figures then I would love to know.

All the best,

Andrew

Will let you know if I find out. Desired look has been achieved so I'm happy! Just need to stop it leaking water and getting damp!

Cheers everyone for the input.
