I've got an old Defender 110 which I want to convert for light agricultural work. I'm after fitting a rear PTO. I understand there is an adaptor that fits on the gearbox. Any ideas?

The only pto i have seen is on enviromental agencies defenders and the pto bolts on to the transfer box if you look at the back there is a round plate on the left hand side of the transferbox fits on there sorry cant help anymore than that.

I do not think you can fit a rear PTO to a defender. Yes the the cover plate for fixing it to the gearbox is on the back of the transfer box, but there are no holes in the chassis or rear cross member to allow a drive shaft though. If you look at the rear chassis cross member on a series vehicle, just to the left of centre is a round hole. this is for the rear PTO drive shaft, this feature is not present on the defender. Have a look at yours I may be that it is present on very early 110's or that the cross member has be modified.

Hi

I've got a PTO on my 110. It drives an on-board 110v generator under passanger seat via belts.
I will see if I can get some Pics when I get home tonight if you are still interested.
