I’m new to defenders and just brought this one. It’s a 1985, 90 I’m wondering if anyone as any clues to what the reason this oil leak is happened.

Looks like the drain plugs not even there?
But I’m clues and know nothing can someone help please

Welcome:)

Its a 90 it leaks end of:D

Normally no plug in there unless as above for wading. Its a big job to sort that leak so if its not alot then live with it :).

ThAt hole should be open in normal driving, if you have an oil leak then leave it opening it will fill and contaminate the clutch,

that leak is likely the rear crankshaft oil seal - big job to change so wait until the clutch needs doing and then do it if it isn’t leaking much
