Hi Everyone,
The only way I can switch from Sport to Normal mode or visa versa in my 2002 Series II Discovery is to stop and restart because the vehicle alternates between the two modes everytime I restart. When using the transfer gearbox I also have to stop and restart in order to get in and out of Manual mode. The mode switch (behind the gear lever) suddenly died and it appears that the ignition switch is now performing the function that the mode switch used to fullfil. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has come accross this problem. Thank you all.
