Date of build?

Can any one help confirm year of build of my series 3?


trying to get historic tax, date of first reg is 3\01\1979. but dvla have it as being built on 29\12\1979 . so has being driven, taxed etc for nearly 12 months before it was built.

Contact Gaydon historic museum in Warwickshire. You can email and get and exact date of manufacture via email for about £6ish. If you're after MOT and tax exemption for historic vehicle, provided yours is within the build date criteria you can get a certificate for about £45 from them as well which DVLA wI'll except as proof.
