Hello, I have a 53 plate Disco 2 and recently replaced both towbar electric sockets. The trailer light on the dash is not flashing when I indicate. It lights as part of "check" when starting car. I can't remember if it was flashing just before replacing sockets, but has done in the past. The sockets were bought from Go Outdoors and not genuine. Still get the bleeping when indicating. Thanks

The trailer light on a Disco flashes only once when you indicate, until you have a trailer fitted, then it flashes along with the indicators. It's a secondary check to the beeping .. :)

Sorry, maybe didn't make clear, but when towing caravan trailer light no longer flashing on dash when indicating. Caravan indicators working and bleeper sounding. Just out of interest where is bleeper?

My 02 disco doesn't beep when towing. The secondary light on dash flashes in time with trailer/caravan lights (or not if lamp blown), but never had a buzzer.
It's a genuine land rover tow hitch and socket fitted by me. Was never fitted as option from factory by previous original owner.
Is there an option to turn buzzer on/off with test book or nanocom..? I'd be interested to find out.

Dont you have LED bulbs on the trailer without load by any chance?

No such thing from factory, if there's a buzzer IMO it was retrofitted

My 300Tdi had the trailer light and a beeper ... I just assumed D2 was the same.
