I'm re-spraying my 90 and looking to get a DA sander to help with the panel rub downs and keying between coats.

I can find a few DA sanders, but struggling to find sanding discs to go with them - PSA sanding discs? I can find corse grit pads, but struggle to find finer grit.

I can find different discs in different places, but really looking for a one stop shop so i can pay express shipping and get it here soon! So does anybody have a stockist they use and recommend where i can buy a range of discs?

I always use 3m hook & loop discs or hookit millions on ebay cheap as anywhere unless you have
a local paint shop or motor factors.

Cheers Kev

I bought one similar to this but an older model I think. So far I'm very pleased with the three MacAllister tools I've bought.

And as Kev says Ebay for your discs. BTW I find the finish from a DA sander is finer than with hand sanding so you can get away with lower numbered paper. I've sprayed onto paint and filler sanded with 400 grit with no sanding marks showing, sanding by hand it would need to be 800 or higher.

Thanks for that. I'm a bit new to DAs and had also had little luck finding decent discs - espec the finer grades.

The only thing to look out for with these is that they're bigger than your standard budget - mid range DA size!!

My DA is 125mm -- http://www.clasohlson.com/uk/Cocraft-HRD-380-Random-Orbital-Sander/18-3599

i think those are 150. Still work, just have to get them centered.

That sander is really good though, the range of speeds is decent it seems to be good quality, although the dust filter does keep falling off on mine.

I'm re-spraying mine at the min, be careful using the DA for he rundowns between coats, it's so easy to sand through the primer on anywhere that isn't perfectly flat! I had to sand everything by hand between coats as I had a few cock ups with the DA. I just got my DA from machine mart then the disks from the local paint shop.
