D4 poor handling

Just thought I’d share this to help others diagnose poor handling. Took the car the a local independent regarding poor ride: wandering/rolling when putting only slight input to the steering, occasionally accompanied by a severe vibration/wobble from the rear, which occurred randomly at various speeds. Problem: both rear upper suspension arm bushes. Worn to excess- the arm was moving about an inch from back to front! Hence the movement on the wheels was unbelievable. Other slight vibrations were found to be as a result of new brake discs being fitted on rusty (uncleaned) hubs. Discs not sitting right.
Repair total: x4 brake discs, x2 from back plates, x2 rear upper arms + seized handbrake (seized brake shoes in rear disc). Cost- quoted at £1300. Job not yet finished so will update. Quality oem parts fitted.
