Been to the workshop where I'm getting my Defender re chassied today, a Discovery 3 was in for a snapped exhaust manifold stud, this then required the body removal to access the manifold, while I was looking around it appears you need to remove the body for a number of repairs (rear anti roll bar bushes, fuel pump / sender etc etc) glad mines a defender

Its true there are a number of jobs where body oft is required. Over the years peeps have got round some of these with some imagination and patience.

Indeed rear anti roll bar bushes, fuel pump / sender can all be done with the body on

inc the front and rear belts , turbo ,don’t need the body to come off

the rear anti roll bar on a rrs needs the body lifting , just enough to slide it out
