D1 autobox help

Hi peeps, so I have a d1 auto Xs 1997
I’m having problems with reverse!
First thing in the mornin I.e engine cold I have no problems selecting reverse. Seems once warmed up it’s abit of a pain I have to fiddle threw the gears n bak to reverse for it to engage! I’ve lived with it for a few months as it hasn’t bothered me but I took it off road last week let’s say I NEED THAT REVERSE!!! Got home started having a mess around with it seems that when I select reverse the times it doesn’t engage its goin into park !
any idea would be truly greatful

try adjusting the cable,ie undo cable from box lever ,turnnlever til its full clicked into p position cjheck selector in cab is too then reattach,check through all gears and adjust as necessary,also check the cable clamp on passenger side mount

Do you mean the cable that’s attached to pushrod that’s bolted onto the lever on?
