Cylinder head

Is anyone aware if a cylinder head from a 2.5l petrol will be compatible with the 2.5l diesel n/a? Also if so would it be wiser to buy a Land Rover genuine part for a component this important or would Britpart be alright?

In what sense?

a spark plug makes a poor injector ,try stc803

The injectors would not fit in the spark plug holes

ech. no. The heads are completely different. There should be a ton of old used 2.5 diesel heads lying about in wrecking yards across the country. I don't think Britpart could make an Anvil that wouldn't break, but as I expect you don't plan to keep the 2.5 forever, it's probably worth the discount if you only plan to run it for a few years.

the amount of early and ex mod 90s that are swapping for tdis should mean that diesels are available quite cheaply(shame really as theyre a brilliant engine (if a bit underpowered)
