Any TD5 owners with no cruise control, i have just found out that you can just buy the switch and steering control and all the rest of it is already in place!!

Easy install, even i have just done it. Took 30 min.

Have a look on fleabay, I bought a 2nd hand steering wheel with cruise and radio controls for £45, just switched them over, it worked a treat.

Have ordered the switches should have them by saturday have checked that i will get all the parts needed so by saturday afternoon i should have cruise control :crazy_driver:

Ok I've been searching through the threads and I don't seem to be gatting anywhere.
Will this kit fit my 2000 plate Td5. Or if not is there one available. Please help

They are easy peasy to fit and the ones off Ebay come with all you need, as has been said, including bracket and a paper template to make the hole in the side of the steering wheel. There used to be more than one seller on t'internet and the price was forty-ish non-Euro friendly pounds but over the last few years the price has crept up to double that.

Be wary if you buy the bits from your local friendly LR dealer - I don't think the bracket needed to attach the steering wheel switches is included. I've also seen them on Ebay though. But by this time, you're paying the same price!

They'll fit any Disco TD5. The wiring is already there. Fit the switches and away you go!

Put one on my last Disco. Want to put one on my current Disco, but the price just seems too toppy. Might have to bite the bullet because I can't seem to find anybody else that does them. :(

....Oh and the feller on Ebay sells two types, pre and post facelift. The only difference being the colour - grey or black respectively.

I wouldn't be without it on the TD5. It's one of the major changes between the 300 and the td5 that made me change the vehicle.

Ah sorry forgot to mention it's for a defender. Terrafirma list one but for 2002 onwards. Mine is a 2000 any ideas what the difference is

On the Defender, the functionality is there in the ECU, but none of the wiring, so you have to wire in the switches yourself. May be best to ask them what the difference is, it may be in the pinout of the connector.
