hi all, i have a 96 300tdi auto disco, got a couple of little niggles...

firstly the dim dip headlights... is there any way of deactivating it so that i can drive round with just my side lights on?

and secondly...

was lubing the door locks the other day and checking the fob for range... (i was bored) and now when i lock using the fob the indicators flash 3 times (normal) but when i unlock with the fob... all doors unlock, alarm deactivates, but no single flash from the indicators...? there was one before but not now... any ideas?

also the cruise control doesnt work... the switch on the centre console lights up and a relay clicks from behind the glovebox but when i press the "set" button on the steering wheel it doesnt work... (yes i am travelling more than 30mph)

many thanks in anticipation for help :)

All very easy as follows:
1. I have deactivated my dim-dip as I have LED sidlight bulbs it all looks a bit naff with both on. Just pull the plug from the dim-dip resistor on the back bulkhead by the washer bottle job done.
2. That's an indication that the battery in the fob requires replacing.
3. The most common fault is the rubber vacuum hose ends splitting where they connect to the various bits. So start at the T piece behind the washer bottle and trace the hose in both directions looking at the connections/joints.

I hope that helps, NEXT:D
