Could an incorrectly wired coil on RRC 3.9 v8 cause it to stop running and not restart, then when not in use drain the battery?
My mechanic whilst trying to get it to run last week wasnt sure about the wiring for the coil when he fitted a used one, it then ran for a while but would not restart.
I spent two days charging the battery after all the cranking we had done to make sure it was ready for attemp two today, with a different mechanic. Then only to find the battery almost dead?? when it was charging it pulled 5 amps to start with but over 24 hrs went down to one-ish like it should.
I didnt think the coil was in contact with the battery with the ignition off?
