“Welcome to Landy Life!”

Well I’ve had my D2 on the road for a few weeks now and it’s like it’s in my head. Everytime I start to think “I’m really enjoying this” it does something to test my devotion

Intermittent abs/tc warning, thread on plastic water sensor on fuel filter stripped and left a trail of diesel round my whole town!

Last night I noticed the blowers were a little cold, had the oil cooler done when I bought it so figured it’s probably settled a bit after countless coolant flushes. Opened the cap and couldn’t see anything, started pouring water in and after a litre or so I heard the dreaded splashing down the back of the engine to the floor.

It was only midnight after all, so off comes the engine cover and the p!$$y cover at the back of the head. A strategic placement of the inspection mirror and torch showed the core plug has popped out the at the back of the head.

I know how to correctly fit core plugs, but any experience/advice on the best way to access it? (Head off/engine mounts off and lower front etc). I’m aware it’s not going to be a fun job so looking to alleviate as much stress as possible.

Also any thoughts on an issue that may have caused it to pop or just age related?! Haven’t got the old one to inspect.

Thanks in advance guys
