I bought a freelander 1 a couple of months ago. It is a V6 automatic and just lately when I use kick down it seems like the accelerator pedal gets stuck and the speed keeps increasing and I am unable to brake and slow down. The pedal stays down on the floor and won't come up. Anyone had this or any ideas how to fix this?

if the pedal is sticking down on the floor I would think the return spring want to be looked at
Not common that, but glad it's an easy fix.
