Changed head gaskets on my 2000 Thor p38 4.0 . I'm still not happy when cold and starting up I'm sure its missing on a few cycles then runs fine.
What pressure should I get cold in a pressure test ? Also how long will it yake the water to fill 100% as I've put in another litre since head gasket replacement. Filled as per rave and made sure pipe from expansion tank to rad was clear.
Thanks

slipped liner or porous block, if it is run it a few days and a plug will be rusty

No sign of either and no steam clean effect on the pistons . So no slippe liner or porious block as not water in oil and no overheatin problems

Most important thing on a compression test is that all the cylinders are as near equal as possible. Say within 10-15 psi of each other maximum. Take the cylinder pressures all other cylinders, they should be within 10-15 psi of the highest one. If one is a lot low put a little oil in bore, if compression rises rings are shot, if little change valves need looking at. If two adjacent cylinders are both low and both show the same reading, there is a blow between them, as you have just done gaskets this senario should not arise.
