I'm a rather tall chap standing in at 6'8 or 2.08m

I've owned all the range rover models up to the P38 and i find them rather cramped.

The classics and P38s are/were very tight for my frame, in my younger years squeezing in wasn't an issue however i find that back and neck ache is getting the better of me!!

How is the L322 in terms of comfort for the taller drivers?

Appreciate any and all advice

J

I'm 6'3" and I find there is plenty of space for the taller frame.....even maybe yours!

Only bug is the width of the foot well, your left knee/shin will rest up against the centre riser and can be annoying - best thing is to go look at one and have a sit in it!

Thanks Saint!

I am going to look at a L322 tomorrow or alter today ;)

Will report back!!

headroom is my only concern.

I'm no stranger to leg room issues, my knees used to rub against the bottom of my RRC steering wheel!
It was much worse in the manuals lol

Compared to you two I'm a short-ass at 6'0. However I find the right knee and ankle position very uncomfortable on long drives. I did do a bit of experimenting and I think the reason, the (even) taller drivers find it a bit more comfortable is because your thigh to knee area, is longer than mine, so it sits further out, thus making the angle of the knee and ankle less acute.
Might actually allow my 6'8 friend to sit in the driver seat, to see if that is the reason.

Around town and shortlist hops it's absolutely fine.

I sincerely hope it is comfortable quite fancy an L322 ;):)

Not that its related but in my younger years i used to wear and drive in platform shoes! lol

I was touching 7ft :eek::D

Also managed to squeeze myself in a classic mini!!

Don't ask!

i think the owner had to cut me out of it lol

The overall experience is comfortable. I think , at my height, I just unluckily hit the 'sweet' spot. If I was shorter , the angle would be less acute, if I was taller, same thing. I have always found the same issue in every green oval I have driven.
I'm sure you will love it , once you try one. :)

Without teaching you to suck eggs..... There is a lot of adjustment in the seat, make sure you put the seat down to the lowest point as this in turn takes it back even further.

Or one of these:D:D

Well just back from a test drive in a 2003 4.4.

On the face of it she was a good'un however the seats space and comfort has really diminished in the L322

I adjusted the seat all the way back and squeezed myself in.

Problem number 1

My left leg is brushing the centre console and my right leg is trapped between the steering wheel and the door.

Not a great start.

Next issue was a numb backside after a 25min testdrive, the hardness of the seats really doesn't help

Another issue my head is touching the roof. lol

The l322 is a lovely car handling wise and the M62 v8 really does carry the car up to speed

However i don't fit!!

Eh i guess i can stick with the slightly more comfortable P38

Weirdly the most comforable RR was my 1974 2 door.

because of the lack of centre console and the rather high dash i could drive it relatively comfortably.

and the seats were very soft..

Grr.
