hi all, I have a 2006 freelander adventurer 1951cc td4, and I was driving it to work when I changed gear the clutch stayed down, so I can no longer change gears any ideas on problem and what the cure might be... Thanks in advance ... Jeff

Check the clutch fluid level first, if it is low have a look underneath and inside by the pedal to see if there are any leaks

I Checked fluid level in cylinder as suggested by "Kwakerman" and it was empty seems to be a slight leak by pedal, phoned local garage to be told it was going to cost me a lot without them even looking at it .. Any thoughts

Probably the master cylinder leaking, price a new one up, it normally not rocket science to replace them if you have some hand skills. That said I've never changed one on a freelander so could be talking out of my elbow:rolleyes: but I'm sure there are many that have and could comment
