Clutch pedal is low

1994 300tdi 62000 on clock

The pedal is low and bite is also

I guess it need ajusting or fluid?

Where do I look

the fluid res for the clutch is sat right next to the brake fluid res. drivers side. if you look from the front of the car drivers side brake fluid res = left hand side clutch fluid res right hand side. Also clutch fluid res is alot smaller.
 
I have just had a look and the fluid level is fine.
The pedal is getting stuck at a low level so the spring must be worn as I can pull it back up
I have sprayed with wd40 and will see if that makes a difference.

Unfortunately James I think you'll find that your clutch fork has bust. They pivot on a ball-ended spigot, which after a while pierces the fork.

You will need to split the bellhousing from the engine block to access the fork for replacement. While you're there, might I suggest you replace the clutch bearing and fixings as well.
 
as thebiglad stated,sounds like dreaded clutch fork :( rip the gearbox out,and beat it back into shape and weld reinforcement place on the back,saves having to pay out for new one,i would also put release bearing,friction plate and pressure plate in new aswell,saves doing the job again in6 months time :) hope this helps!
 
Hi thought I'd jump in on this thread as opposed to startinimg a new one as i have a similar problem except my pedal is returning normally just no resistance until halfway down and the biting point on the floor tried to bleed it made no difference ,pedal seems to get better if you pump it but biting point still on the floor can't see any leaks not to say that it isn't tho any help would be greatfully recieved
 
Had summit simillar mesel' a wee whiles back. Ah didn't think it was the clutch as it was kinda newish with the reinforced arm so thought it was summit else. Ah had changed the master cylinder a wee whiles back and after a while ah noticed the pedal was almost on the floor before it bit. The only other thing ah could think of was slave cylinder, so ah changed that along with the hose and ah couldn't bleed the system... kept gettin' air in somewheres! Turned out that the replacement master cylinder was faulty!! So ah changed that and everything has bin fine ever since;)
 
Sounds like clutch fork to me! As big lad says replace clutch bearing fork the whole caboodle!
Get as many trolley jacks as possible ;) u will need em
