:( Ive had second gear " crunch" for some time now and a new second hand gearbox is waiting in the workshop. Driving home from Looe yesterday and the clutch went. Lots of crunching of gears got me home so looks like a weekend sorting that out now.

So your clutch is fully engaged and not operating on the pedal?

What's your fluid level like?

Have you managed to get air into the system?

Have you tried bleeding it?

When I push the pedal down the car is still pulling and I was having to force it into a gear. I haven't checked the fluid since yesterday but checked it last weekend before driving to somerset. When and how often would you bleed the clutch on a D1? Ive not done it yet in 4 years of owning one.

That's clutch not separating.

Either a leak and fluid low. Master or slave cylinder seals gone, or clutch arm pushed through pivot

Oh feck. Ill check fluid level in the morning. Always possible ive sprung a leak since last week. Did think it strange I never had any slipping clutch and it did go quite quickly.
