Hi,

Are there any quick ways of replacing the bulb in the clock, or does the centre console have come out :confused2:?

Are there any instructions on this.

Thanks

Jay

The entire centre console has to come out - it's annoying to say the least.

Remove both centre console side panels
Remove closing panel above drivers knees
Remove instrument binnacle surround
Remove radio surround (or remove radio on 99> vehicles)

Remove 5 screws holding centre console in place and pull forward. Pop out clock and put in a new bulb. It's just a standard 1.2w wedge bulb.

i just pulled the cubby bit out next to the clock and managed to get my hand it to change the bulb,it,s fiddly to do but better than stripping half the car apart, unless you have built in sat nav then it,s console out time;)

I think its possible to do that only if you have the later type console where the cubby bit pops out - 99 onwards maybe??

On P38's without that you can't go the same route. If you have one single plastic piece running the full length of the console, i.e. goes from under the clock the full length of the trinket tray bit then you won't be able to pop it out.
