Well, I had my Classic Soft Dash for sale on Ebay, and here, but it didn't make its reserve.

Just trying to get an idea of what it is actually worth, I would have thought it would have been at least £700 - £800, what do you guys reckon?

In summary, it's a 1994 Vogue SE Soft Dash in Avalon Blue, done 102,000 miles, spent first 20 years of its life in Guernsey. Engine and gearbox good but what lets it down is the bodywork, as so many do, going rotten at top of bulkhead, front door pillars, footwells, sills and small area on boot floor.

I'm not posting it for sale in this forum, just want to know what it's worth so I can make a decision whether to sell or keep it as a spares car for my '92 classic (wish it was rot free like my '92!!).

Cheers.

With that much brown stuff, it would be worth very little I would say....

In these austire times, most folk don't want a project unless they have the time and money to devote to it - which is hard to come by recently....

You may find it is worth more in pieces....

Example:

As is - £500 tops

Engine £250
G/B £150
Seats £100
Wheels/Tyres £80
Steering Wheel £20

And that totals £600

If you have the space to break it, and time to send it off or get them to collect and break themselves, it may be the better way to go....sorry!!!

Think you've had the answers to your query but I'll throw in my input anyway! I keep track of the various classic vehicle auction sales in the UK & the general rule of thumb at this time is that virtually any old vehicle will sell for decent money, provided that it's either (a) in really good original condition or (b) has been well restored, preferably with a photo-backed record of the work carried out. Anything else is dead in the water.

Appreciate all your advice, thank you norseman you're advice is very useful. I bought the car a year ago for £1,200, unfortunately, when I started stripping it back it was a lot worse than I thought! Suppose you live and learn, if I can get get some of my money back in parts and then scrap the shell it will be better than nothing!!

and wot you dont sell is worth 150 a ton..

take the ali off and weigh that in sepereate.

you wont sell axles or chassis or inner frame, but you can weigh that in....so

engine ,gearbox,interior,,ecu's..if seat ecu good that worth 100+..etc..
