Classic question

Hi all.....I was just wondering if all V8 gearboxes are interchangeable. ie, LT95, LT85, LT77 and R380. Am I right in thinking that the bellhousings would have the same bolt patterns and the input shafts will be the same length and have the same splines?

As far as I know they are different.....and some conversion will be required.

Thanks....I was just planning for failure of my LT95 and was pondering whether a later LT77 or R380 might be a direct swap out if it were to happen. I was just thinking that it would be a perfect time for the addition of a 5th gear
