Classic plug

The other day I had the occasion to remove the filler plug on my Classic's radiator & now want to replace the plastic item with a decent brass equivalent.
The rad is an aftermarket item, would it be safe to assume that the thread pitch & diameter are standard spec, regardless of the manufacture ?

Assuming it is a quality OEM replication the Threads should be the same..

Had a couple of rads in mine since I got it & plugs have been the same.
LRcat says NTC4609 which appears to have been superseded by ERR4686 for the plastic & ERR4686B for the brass one.

Thanks for the replies guys, the rad. came from Britpart. Yes I know what some of you are thinking

but my indie ordered it in at the time I needed a replacement & it's done it's job OK for several years now, which is more than can be said for the genuine LR 'screen-wash pump that never worked straight out of the box.

'Hmm, it may well fit but would it sustain the pressure I wonder? I think I'll go for the automotive version, but thanks anyway.

I also have used the brass version you mentioned above, I only said about the bleed valve as I know a lot of people have used them for convenience. Central heating is around 20PSI so pressure wouldn't be an issue

I thought if I suggested just googling the part number I might be due a whoosh parrot but judging by later posts apparently not.
Put ERR4686B into Google & the usual suspects all come up - Paddocks, Craddocks, LR Direct, Brit-car etc - starting from under £2 plus p&p.

The 'O' ring under it is ERR4685.
(I have the brass plug fitted. I also have the plastic one which I removed from the current rad when it arrived & fitted the brass one from the previous rad)
