hi there I am new on here
for my sins I have a 1998 Freelander td1
I have an overheating problem it started by blowing off hoses
now pipe has split as I have put on a jubilee clip instead of the spring clip
how this may be a bit long winded but several years ago I had a rover 827 automatic.
you could drive this car normally along the local roads it was ok but when you got on the motorway doing 70 it used to overheat
I tried everything to no avail.
but one day I decided to change the oil but not only did I change engine oil but also oil in the auto box and by a miracle it cured my over heating problem
now coming back to my Freelander I understand that the transfer box is pil filled and also water cooled.
could this be a similar thing
