From memory, a little while back I remember someone on here saying they found a very reasonable breakers who break plenty of freelanders and I believe it's around the Birmingham area. As I am passing through today and in a few days time I thought I would pop by but can't find them on search or google.

Also spotted a nice freelander on the way up on the m6. Blue colour with 4x4 response on it. Hello if it's anyone on here

there is a brilliant Hippo breaker based in Bedworth, Warwicks. They are about 5 minutes off J3, M6.

JJ Car Parts
unit 34i, zone 2B
Bayton road
Coventry
West Midlands
CV7 9EJ

They also advertise on Ebay. Land Rover Freelander 1 grey / black leather steering wheel | eBay

They are not open on Sunday.
My dealings with them has been excellent and I have called int their place when down in the Midlands.

Freelander breakers - Bridge Street Cannock. Same road as John Craddock Land Rovers.
I highly recommend Matt, his prices are the best I've come across. Call him on 07538240684.
Been going to him for 6 years now, and consider him a good mate.Always helps me out and goes the extra mile to make sure I stay on the road.

I will also recommend Matts place ,but do not go into Craddock's and ask them where they are like I did and got a very rude reply.

Funnily enough I was at both today. Needed to go to Craddocks for a couple of Lightweight doors (No, not to replace the heavy one's on my Freelander that keep falling off before anyone asks ). For my Lightweight/Airportable.
Needed to see Matt to have a look at my n/s rear brakes which were binding. It's really handy having both on the same road. I've been at Matt's when guys from Craddocks come to him for parts to fix customers cars, bet they charge new prices too !!
However, it seems a bit rich for them to get rude with people looking for Matt's place. I've also been at Matt's when Freelander owners have mistaken his place for Craddocks and he's put them straight, never poaching Craddock's business.
I'm lucky enough to know most of the guys at Craddocks - been going for the last 20 years. But Matt really is the guy to know as far as the Freelander stuff's concerned.

when I went to matt place he even tested the part in front of me to make sure it was ok and at the time I said I would always pass his details on.

Good shout. Thanks to Realbeale and teddywood for the recommendation. Although it took abit of finding, north street not bridge Street

Matt was a real nice bloke with plenty of spares. 10 freelanders or so at the workshop with another 30 or so at the farm. Got a front prop, Aerial, switch and connector £65 which I thought was very reasonable. I wish I was closer to pop over more often but I shall have to settle for postage for the lighter items in the future.

Had a quick look in craddoks, the 2 freelanders in there for sale had flat tyres and another landrover in there had a smashed light. I had always thought that they had a little more price in their motors.

Thanks to irishrover and Bruno for your recommendation, I shall have to investigate that place another time

What a chump, I've only been going there for 20 years and can't get the road name right after all that time, glad you found it though !!

Mostly they sell well over priced tat. Usually late but very tired high miler Discovery's , Range Rovers and the odd Freelander 2. Defenders are always over priced for both condition, miles and year with rusty chassis and poorly welded on new rear crossmembers. Series vehicles are the same, usually patched to hell with dented panels but people would rather pay Craddocks for rubbish than buy cheaper and more wisely privately.

Where abouts exactly are the breakers ? Are they in North Street ?
I know Craddocks and I am trying to visualise the street. I usually come up the A5 from Brownhills, turn right on the madhouse roundabout, under the low bridge towards Cannock town centre then turn left into North St. Craddocks is on my left and the School is opposite. Just before I get to Craddocks, there is a small Industrial Estate on my right..are they in there ?

I think you are thinking of the right place.

Come out of craddocks shop front door. Turn right and they are just up there on the left hand side in a little industrial estate sort of thing. You will see plenty of freelanders

Thanks for that info., I know where you mean now. There used to be a guy who did LR repairs in a unit on the left hand side and I called in to him about 20 odd years ago !!

When we are next down in the Midlands (March or April) I will make a point of paying him a visit. Is he open over the weekend ?

He said to me that he has been working 6 days a week for years so I assume so, Realbeale might know better. His number is up there ^^^^ so could give him a ring tomorrow?
