Chassis/VIN number

Hi Guys
just hoping you may be able to help with this one. I'm looking for the Chassis/VIN number as it apears I need it for spare part ordering. I've looked under the bonnet where it says in the Haynes manual, just above the radiator but all I seem to be looking at are some old rivet holes!!
Seems the plate is not there!!!!
Any other way I can identify the car for the spare parts ordering????

Range Rovers:

  • Found in the behind Rover's left front corner of the windshield
    Stamped on the right hand side chassis member forward of the front spring mounting turret
    RANGE ROVER Classic with Vogue body (not sure about NAS County) has chassis number stamped in rear/passenger cross member (in front of rear wheel)
